Low back pain or Back Pain most common and most frequently occurring disability issue in everyday life. Pain may range from mild and infrequent to severe and constant.
Back pain can affect any age for different reasons. Older people have higher chances of getting back pain due to factors such as occupation and degenerative diseases.
Back pain can be a result of any unusual changes in the bones of lumbar spine, discs between the vertebrae, ligaments around the spine, lower back muscles, abdominal and pelvic internal organs, and the skin around the lumbar area. Damage to any of this components can result from strain, medical conditions, poor postures etc.
Most frequent cause of back pain due to activities like lifting something that is too heavy and in an improper manner, sometimes making an abrupt movement causing strain. This leads to muscle spasms and may damage disc too.
Infection in the spine such as tuberculosis, pelvic inflammatory diseases, kidney infections can also causes back pain as a symptom.
Analgesics, NSAIDs, Muscle Relaxants are the most commonly prescribed medication to relieve back pain associated symptoms. Anti-inflammatory drugs can be taken orally or can be injected in the spine in some cases to reduce inflammation at a faster rate.
The goals of physiotherapy for patients suffering from different types of back pain are to reduce pain and associated symptoms with modalities and exercises programs, to increase functioionality of back to improve efficiency in carrying out daily activities and maintenance program to prevent reoccurrence of the similar problems in future
Heating Pads, Short waves diathermy, TENS, IFT, electrical stimulation, ultrasound are various modalities used in different conditions ascending to the site and type of pain experienced. These modalities relieve pain and relax muscles, reducing spasm and stiffness in back making it much easy to move in its range.
It is beneficial in herniated disc cases in which traction helps in decompression of the spinal nerves relieving pain as well as tingling or numbness like sensations too. It also helps in lengthening the spine and stretching surrounding muscles for better alignment of spine preventing further complications on the back.
Exercises helps in to recover back pain problems and prevent or minimize future flare-ups of back pain. Lumbar spine stability is also dependent on supporting abdominal and low back musculature. Front support to the spinal column is given by abdominal and core muscles while back support is given by the low back muscles.
According to the condition, exercises for back pain can be flexion based extension based. A combination of stretching and strengthening program is necessary to provide relief for muscle pain, maintain normal range of motion, and relieve spasm. For maintenance of the improved function of the spine, abdominal and lower extremity strengthening is useful and has more faster effect in betterment of the patients.
Dynamic stabilization exercises can improve range, weight bearing capacity, as well as balance in the body function.

Had a very bad experience. I called before going at the clinic and asked them if I could come now. She said that I could and didn't inform me about the timings. Apparently I was only called for consultation and had to come back for session in the evening. What a waste of time and money. I was charged 300rs for consultation where as I didn't need one. I just had a slight neck sprain. Only needed few exercises to release the pain. Very bad management and coordination. Never going back.
Great they have the audacity to speak to their patients this way. Clearly it shows how they are. I left my feedback because you guys have bad management. You can keep defending it by calling me names. But a bad review will stay a bad review. I will make sure to spread the word.
PS WHILE LEAVING I DID MENTION I AM NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS CLINIC AGAIN. FORGET ABOUT EVENING.

You guys are hilarious. Don't try and threaten me with a legal action. I rest my case with the explanation I have given above. I am not going to repeat it again and again that I didn't know about your closing time as it was not informed to me. Try and learn how to take a constructive criticism instead of arguing constantly.
I never took any appointment for today evening so stop lying. I told the doctor then and there that I am never coming again. And stop talking like you are doing some social services. I very well paid you for the 10 minutes I spoke to your doctor.
I had a bad experience and my family, relatives and friends will never revisit this clinic. Period.

Dr Vigil's clinic is the best physiotherapy clinic I have visited so far for my mom's knee pain treatment. I could see positive results within 15 days. Our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Jasmine for her efforts and hard work. Highly recommended. Great gesture and hospitality.
